Spicy Peas and Pumpkin in a yummy pocket served with Ginger Plum Sauce and fresh green olives

Spiced Pumpkin Pockets

STEP 1 – PREPARE DOUGH

1/2 Cup Cornmeal and 3/4 Cup Water (Soak 30 Minutes)

Add 1/4 Cup Flour

Add 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt

STEP 2 – PREPARE FILLING

1 Cup Pumpkin (Boil and Crushed)

1/2 Cup Green Peas

1/2 Teaspoon Mixed Spice Masala

1 Teaspoon Ground Chilli Paste

1 Teaspoon Cumin

1 Teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt to taste

STEP 3 – MAKE 3 TENNIS BALLS SIZED DOUGH

Grease work surface

Place dough on surface

Flatten dough with fingers

Spoon filling onto dough

wrap and deep fry on medium to high heat

5 minutes on each sides then rest on paper towel

cool and cut in halves

STEP 4 – MAKE GINGER PLUM SAUCE

1 Tablespoon Plum Sauce

1/2 Teaspoon Powdered Ginger
